I had eye surgery around a year ago to fix my eyelids. I went to see Dr. Ben Lee since I was told he had a lot of experience with Asian eyes. I flew to LA after we did a video consultation and was assured this would be a simple procedure. After the surgery was done I was swollen as expected and followed protocol to reduce swelling and returned again to have the stitches removed when it was time. At that time I could see my eyes didn’t look the same one eyelid was hanging lower than the other. My friends told me it was very noticeable before I had left to have the stitches removed. I talked to the Doctor and was told those aren’t friends you need to find new friends and that the swelling would continue to go down and it would to fine. Several months later I talked to the doctor and a Chinese interpreter that worked for the doctor on a zoom call. The lady told me maybe you are not using ice that is causing the swelling not to go down or you are sleeping in a position that is causing it. Basically that it is my fault. Doctor offered for me to come in to have additional surgery to fix the problem but I do not trust him and I am afraid he will make it worse. Very bad experience. I appreciate the responsible attitude of everyone here, and how well the staff maintains cleanliness, especially the front desk staff who take disinfection very seriously. It makes me feel very safe and at ease!
