Northwest Eye Center

In my almost 59 years on this Earth this has been one of the worst Physicians offices of any type that I've ever experienced. The wait times to actually see a doctor are unbelievably long and inconvenient. The communication between the primary care physician and this ophthalmologist office is completely lacking. There is no paperwork or Aftercare information given to the patient after meeting with the doctor. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone ever!

I was referred to Dr. Boris Dilman by an optometrist whose professional judgment I highly respect and trust. When I experienced an unexpected eye issue, I contacted Northwest Eye Center on Monday and specifically requested the earliest available appointment with Dr. Dilman, an ophthalmologist. Unfortunately, my first impression of the office was disappointing. The receptionist seemed indifferent to my concerns. I wasn't expecting sympathy or special treatment, simply professional and attentive communication, particularly when calling about an unexpected eye condition. I was offered an appointment for Thursday, which I accepted despite being concerned about whether my eye condition could safely wait several days. Shortly afterward, I received a text message asking me to confirm an appointment with Jane Vilderman, OD, an optometrist, rather than Dr. Dilman, the ophthalmologist I had specifically requested. This change had not been clearly communicated to me during scheduling. I have nothing against optometrists. In fact, it was an optometrist I trust who referred me to Dr. Dilman. However, I believe patients should be informed when they are being scheduled with a different provider, particularly when they have specifically requested a physician. I ultimately canceled the appointment. To be clear, this review does not reflect Dr. Dilman's medical expertise, as I never had the opportunity to see him. My concern is with the office's scheduling process, communication, and overall first impression. I hope the practice management takes this feedback constructively. Patients deserve clear communication and confidence that their concerns and appointment requests are being understood.

I had a great experience at Northwest Eye Center in Lake Zurich thanks to Lynda. She was fantastic throughout the entire process, from my eye exam to selecting my new glasses. She was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with my choices. She made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable, and her attention to detail really stood out. It's refreshing to find someone who takes such pride in what they do and makes you feel like more than just another customer. Highly recommend asking for Lynda!

A well deserved 5 star rating goes out to Dr. Dillman. Both my wife and I are patients of his, He takes the time to hear our concerns, and answers them so that we can understand. He is truly a great doctor as well as good man

He is very thorough. He and his staff are very friendly which you don’t find in all doctor offices.

Dr. Dillman is an exceptionally professional and highly skilled ophthalmologist. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and am very pleased with the results. His staff is friendly, experienced, and made the entire process seamless. If you prefer a softer bedside manner, he may not be the right fit, but if you value a direct, energetic, and highly professional approach with excellent outcomes, look no further. His office is very busy, which reflects how in-demand he is.

Dr. Dilman and his staff are great. I am already getting positive results with my eye issues based on yesterday's office visit in Barrington. Thank you Dr. Dilman and staff for your awesome service. If I had any concern, it would be the wait but this was my first appointment at Northwest Eye Center so it's understandable.

My longtime ophthalmologist retired recently so I was a bit concerned that Dr. Dillman would provide the care I had received previously. I was pleasantly surprised to find a cheerful, friendly and competent replacement. Dr. Dillman explained the procedure, asked if I had any questions and made me feel at ease. I feel confident in his skill and caring for his patients.

Prompt, person who first examined my eyes was very courteous with explaining the procedure and answering my questions. Dr Dilman took his time to explain what his findings were. Very direct and caring. Hard to find today.
