Extreme concern from Dr. Dilman due to my recent cardiac incident. Extensive testing and more to come.

Welcomed by the gal at the front desk; staff puts you at ease, as they explain the tests they are doing. As one who has a hard time NOT blinking, especially when told 'NOT to blink', they made me feel understood and comfortable! A great staff, who care!!

Prompt, person who first examined my eyes was very courteous with explaining the procedure and answering my questions. Dr Dilman took his time to explain what his findings were. Very direct and caring. Hard to find today.

Dr. Dilman is excellent and very knowledgeable in his field! He is very warm and kind to his patients. He shows passion in his work!

I've been on glaucoma watch for the last 5-6 years and seeing an ophthalmologist at Ophthalmology Associate in Elgin (now part of the Northwest Eye Center) every 6 months during that time. Due to the musical chairs with the doctors in Elgin since the acquisition, I needed to see Dr. Dilman to get a determination if it was time to treat for glaucoma as my pressures and vison have worsened recently. He only comes to Elgin one day a month, so I was asked if I could see him in Barrington, to which I agreed. I just left the appt so frustrated. They took my pressure readings and said I should follow up with field of vision tests next time. I said, I've been doing those every year for the last 5-6 years...sometimes more than once a year. So, he should have access to the trends. They looked in the computer and had nothing from the Elgin office in there. The appointment was a complete waste of my time. He was dismissive and actually said, 'I don't see the urgency.' I was not seen or heard.

Always pits the patient needs a priority - staff is courteous and helpful.
