I got SMILE corrective surgery and probably shouldn't have. If you're young as well, I'd say hold off. I'm more than a year post op and everything is mostly healed except the occasional dry eyes and limited nighvision. Both are mild but it's a new thing to deal with now and likely will get worse with age. While the surgery went well, I think anyone considering lasik/SMILE should only do it late in life or only if absolutely necessary. I do slightly regret the procedure. Sensitivity to light, reduced night vision, dry eyes and the halo effect persisting after your operation should be something you're willing to potentially live with for the rest of your life if you decide to move forward. And please do not neglect aftercare. That was a mistake I made, and while the consequences of it are not severe, i would have done differently if I had another chance. Not a fault of the clinic as much as the nature of the operation in general. Just think twice if you can comfortabley function with glasses or contact lenses.

I had an amazing experience with the McDonald Eye Associates in Fayetteville. I had LASIK surgery done and am very happy with the results. Everyone who I talked to was amazing and made sure nothing about the LASIK surgery would surprise me. If you need any type of care with your eyes I would highly recommend coming here.

Bought a pair of glasses from McDonald Eye Associates in July of 2024. I took them in today because they broke and was told they could superglue them but they didn’t have any superglue… I don’t think so on a pair of $900.00 glasses! I will never buy another thing from them again! Going to Sam’s Club or Wal-Mart.

Highly recommend finally may have some answers

Dr. Roller and the staff are friendly and professional. They listened to my concerns and treated me with respect and kindness. The office was inviting and the waiting area was comfortable.

Dr. Mengarelli explained my eye condition in great depth. The meds he prescribed could be quite expensive, so he gave me options if they were too high. The staff was very kind and saw to my needs. Dr. Mengarelli is an intelligent, caring and accommodating eye physician.
