I was referred here 2 months ago. The scheduling coordinator called me to request additional information. She was very rude and acted like I was a burden to speak with. I provided the information to her within 15 minutes. I still have not received a call back to be scheduled. Would never go to a place where I feel I am a burden to be seen.

I was referred to Dr. Ivy from Little Rock six years ago, and I couldn’t be more grateful. He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in his field, but also genuinely kind and personable. I’ve always felt confident in his care and truly appreciate the time and attention he gives. Highly recommend!

I want to preface this by saying this is more a problem of Highlands and Dr Tantchou's scheduling people, rather than her directly as I do not know her, and haven't ever seen her. I think she may be a good Dr based off of recommendations/referrals from the inpatient Dr's that worked with her while I was inpatient. I was admitted into Mercy NWA for high WBC count and inflammation (as you can imagine what this involved due to her kind of practice). There was a referral sent to her my last day of the stay (6/18, and I watched them do it) and the Dr that was working my case actually spoke on the phone with Dr Tantchou that agreed this needed be taken as an "urgent" referral (at least, this is what i was told). I believe it was 6/30 that Highlands FINALLY called me to schedule an appointment, and that "urgent" appointment wasnt going to be until the END of AUGUST!!! I made some calls around and left a voicemail with the office for my inpatient stay Dr to see if they could send a referral to the colorectal surgeon in Springfield as they had told me they could probably get me in decently fast. I had a follow-up with her the next day and she had sent my referral to Springfield that morning. That afternoon they called and scheduled me and had me in his office within a week (last week). During my visit with him, he also agreed that this "mass" they see in my scans, as well as the issue I had been admitted for (that could potentially continue to come back with high WBC count), needed to be treated as something pretty urgent. He had no place to put me in scheduling last week, or this week (1 week after seeing him), and he's out on vacation next week...so he scheduled me for imaging AND surgery the first week in August. While Dr Tantchou is likely a LOVELY dr and great at her job, I cannot understand why, after being told by the surgeon during my Mercy stay that talked to her directly, that they would push the urgency, I would be seen (just as a regular visit, no scans, no surgery, nothing), almost 2 months after the referral was sent ?? Yes, I have to drive 2 hours. Yes, I understand there are other urgencies and I'm not the only one. I just cant understand why I was told one thing, but another happened.
