Deep Blue Retina

Great doctor that was recommended. Everyone there was knowledgeable and polite. It took probably 3 hours to get everything done on my first visit. But I was a new patient and they did different eye tests before seeing the doctor. Then they set me up for eye surgery. Well organized and the visit went smoothly.

Dr. Calzada was caring and knowledgeable. He referred us to a different surgeon that would specialize in what is needed.

The people who work at Deep Blue Retina are some of the nicest most competent people I have met in the medical setting. Dr. Calzada has saved my site multiple times and I am so grateful to have a Retina place in my own neighborhood.

I see reviews criticizing him on his wait times. To those people I say speedy doesn’t equal quality. I learned a long time ago when it comes to my vision I can be patient because I want quality. I come from a long line of family with vision issues and have seen the difference between doctors who do quick visits and those who do long. I choose patiently waiting for a knowledgeable doctor.

Routine visits last 3-plus hours. It's terrible to get someone to drive you home because it eats 2 people's whole day.The care is fine, but the amount of time waiting makes me want to find a new doctor.
