I've been going to a different doctor for 2 1/2 years for Botox shots for my Bells Palsy. I continued to explain to the specialist that I was having issues with my effected eye especially when I was doing certain things or eating my eye would clamp shut. She continued to give shots all over my face. She had her therapist speak to me how to work on keeping the eye open while eating but what about when I was doing other tasks? I requested a brow lift and the doctor said she could do the procedure however I would have to have test done to see if my eye sight was a candidate for the procedure. Bells Palsy is a disability and if I wanted to have a procedure done to correct the matter I didn't have to go for tests, the doctor indicated I'd be tested like other individuals who didn't have Bells Palsy. My optometrist referred me to Dr K Winkler. I made my first appointment and explained the situation to Dr Winkler and stated she could help me. I informed her I'd get shots all over the face. Dr Winkler said there was no reason for shots on the forehead or any other place. The concern was to focus on the eye only. She indicated that I would receive shots on the upper and lower lids as well as the outside corner of the eye. Dr Winkler asked did I ever have shots on the eye lids and I responded with once, my last appointment I had May 2026. An appointment was scheduled for October for shots. Only 5 shots were administered. She said in 5-7 days I would notice a improvement. My next appointment is in December. I am looking forward to our next meeting to talk how she plans to move on. I made the best decision to drop the doctor from Loyola Hospital because Dr Winkler listens and plans to make sure I'm able to see properly no matter if I'm eating or doing a task where my eye clamps shut giving me much frustration. Dr Winkler is out of network however I'm not concerned about that because my insurance will still cover me I will just have to pay more. Thank you Dr Winkler.

Dr. Kathryn Winkler was amazing!! She was kind and informative of the procedure and what she would be doing! Ptosis repair. The staff was also kind and courteous.One the day of procedure, she explained again what she was doing ask if I had any questions. Completed the procedure. Inform, me on what to do and not to do! I recently did a follow up, and everything is healing well!! No pain from the procedure

I have only seen Dr. Winkler a couple times thus far, but he has been very informative and is tackling my issue at an accelerated pace, which is greatly appreciated!
