I had a retinal emergency and they fit me in. I was advised that I may be there 3 hours or more. I didn't wait 3 hours, it took 3 hours to undergo the many tests and work up. The office is extremely busy with a lot of patients but everything flowed well. I have nothing but praise for all the staff. As stated, they are extremely busy but the staff was always pleasant, not a fake pleasant but truly pleasant and nice people. Dr. Ahmad diagnosed and treated me with the utmost in professionalism and care. He explained my issue, explained the cause and offered solutions with explanations. He didn't have to repeat because he explained it so I understood the first time. Although I have a couple months of follow up, I am totally satisfied with my initial treatment. It would be truly great if other health care providers had the pleasant and efficient staff and level of service as provided by Chesapeake Retina Center in Prince Frederick Maryland.

My mom’s appointment keeps getting canceled with you all. Since March, her appointment keeps getting pushed out and canceled a week before the appointment because the doctor repeatedly and unexpectedly keeps taking off. This keeps happening with her appointments for the last 3 months and now she has to wait another 2 months to be seen. This is very unprofessional. Her appointment requires her to have her eyes dilated, so she needs someone to accompany her. You can’t just cancel an appointment she has set for and already made arrangements for and expects her to make another day. Or make her go to a much further location from where we live. She has health issues and needs to be seen by a retina doctor, but these people sound like they don’t care if they keep pushing the appointment further out. This is unacceptable! Do better!
