Charleston Cornea & Refractive Surgery

I cannot recommend this establishment enough for all your eye care needs! I recently received LASIK here in preparation for the military and my experience has been nothing but fantastic! Olivia and Dr. Schultz have been exceptionally accommodating in helping me achieve my goals by filling out the necessary paperwork and graciously scheduling me for multiple follow up appointments to document my vision acuity. Not only had they been accommodating but they are some of the most personal people, who make every visit exceptional and I left every time happy and satisfied. Since receiving the surgery I went from seeing with approximately 20/400 vision down to 20/10 vision, and the difference has been life changing. Finally, Dr. O'Day has exceptional talent, with the entire procedure being quick, practically painless, and a pleasant experience. Like I stated before, if you're considering getting LASIK or anything to do with your eyes I can't recommend a better place. If I were to do it over again I would choose Charleston Cornea & Refractive Surgery every time!

1st Opthamologist in 16 yrs to introduce himself upon entering the room and shake my hand. Ive seen 5 Feb to July of 2026. Dr. O'Day was also the first one to read my charts and intakes before entering the room with so much care that he retained the info. I was self referred and got in quickly thanks to his staff filling a cancellation and recognizing the urgency. Thank you Olivia. This is a practice that is passionate about helping their patients not only see better but to understand what they are experiencing which soothed anxieties that I did not realize I'd been holding in.... For the first time in months I know what is going on and I have hope. I am beyond grateful.

I totally trust this practice. All staff are pleasant and practice patience. Dr. O’Day is thorough and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. O'Day and his staff always give thorough exams, taking the time to listen to questions and explain in layman's terms. I never feel rushed through my appointments.

Dr. O Day is an excellent surgeon. He removed a pterigium from my cornea two years ago and helped me resolve an issue with dizziness while driving that was caused by my vision. Several other practices had not been able to resolve the issue. He performed cataract surgery two days ago and it was a smooth process with excellent results. I’ll have the other eye done next week. Also, the practice provides top of the line diagnostic equipment (so many precise measurements!) and there is great attention to detail.

Everything I can say about Charleston Cornea & Refractive Surgery. is nothing but good. Dr O'Day is one of the best and most attentive Doctors in the medical field I have ever encountered. I trust him 110%.

It was great! There was a bit of a wait but the technicians performed several tests as did Dr O'Day. I have been seeing a dry eye specialist for years but no one has ever given me these tests which detected the type of dry eye condition that I have. He explained it thoroughly which I really appreciated. After a few days I really noticed a difference!
