Do not go here! I have been a patient of Dr Gallagher for 10 years but when recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, had a horrible experience from start to finish. They outsource the phone answering so it’s impossible to reach anyone. Messages sent in the portal result in “internal server error”. During the prep for my surgical excision, the MA (Ross) put on his gloves and proceeded to open and close drawers and cabinets before doing the surgical prep. So, no surprise - I ended up with a staph infection. Trying to get in to see anyone to treat my infection was impossible. Finally, I got an appointment with the wound care nurse (Annelise) who told me everything looked fine. I told her it wasn’t fine as it had visible pus and was red and hot and getting worse each day. She reluctantly took a picture and showed it to the PA (Ethan) who also told her it was fine. I insisted on having Dr Gallagher take a look and he walked in the room and immediately said it was infected. He punctured and drained it (I think it was called I&D) but things continued to get worse. Getting in touch with anyone was impossible. All the offshore team answering phones could do was “send a message to the medical team” and no one ever responded. My husband ended up cutting off the Dermabond because the infection was trapped under it. I saw in the portal that the culture they took when they drained it confirmed it was a staph infection but no one ever called to tell me. Weeks went by and the wound still was not healing. I switched to Dermatology Specialists, where they got me in and explained that I had “exuberant granulation tissue”. The doctor there cauterized it with silver nitrate 2 weeks ago and the scab came off yesterday and it is a million times better now. Today I just got a message with a payment receipt from Boulder Valley Center for Dermatology even though I had Lizzie (who is wonderful and the only person I found to be responsive in the whole practice) cancel all future appointments. I tried to send a message to the billing team in the portal asking why they charged my credit card today but got a fatal error. I tried to call them but got voicemail and then a text from them. I responded to the text and have yet to hear back. I do think Dr Gallagher is good but this practice is more interested in not seeing patients than they are in treating serious issues. It’s no surprise that a doctor there recently made the same switch I did to Dermatology Specialists, where they answer the phone and prioritize patient care.

Although I was frustrated with 3 previous appointment cancellations, I was extremely pleased with my appointment with Rachel Miller and her friendly assistant. Rachel was thorough, gentle and had a delightful personality. The five stars is specifically for this appointment, which is the best one I've had at this business.

Checked in, paid deductible, was seen on time, and the staff and Dr were very engaged and genuinely caring.

I have used this practice for 20 years. Past two years I have made sure to book my appointments with Brooke Weinberger, P.A. She Is compassionate and listens well.

The personal care and attention of the staff really stands out. I left feeling confident about my treatment and the follow-up. Brooke and her PA made me feel important and really cared about my concerns!
