After experiencing an extremely painful waxing session that lasted HOURS, I reported them to the Arizona Cosmetology board, because I knew something wasn’t right. The board investigated this and made me aware about their concerns of the following statues: • Infection Control/Safety Standards • Committing malpractice or incompetence • Practice or an attempt to practice and operate in an establishment not licensed by the board This place was practicing without a license from the board!! Beware of their new deals and discounts coming for the opening of their new location. I would never trust Dr Iarocci or Yvonne Perez again! I have utilized many med spas throughout Arizona and this is hands down one of the WORST “med spas” in the valley.
*For reference, I’ve been a patient to med spas across the valley & Midwest states for around 10 years, so this isn’t my first ever med spa experience* Active Body Wellness is by far THE WORST med spa in the valley. • Promotes EltaMD but doesn’t carry inventory. They carry what THEY want and not what the customer wants. • Front office staff are the most cold hearted individuals you’ll ever meet. Not welcoming, not personable, couldn’t care less that you even exist. • Front office staff also has no idea how to bill/charge people properly. I was told I didn’t owe anything after a facial. I argued with her and in fact, I did owe $75. I regret not shutting my mouth and walking out with a free facial. • Front office staff has zero idea how to properly schedule appointments. They don’t offer you location choice or tell you which location they’re scheduling you for. • While I absolutely adore their esthetician, she is not being provided with the resources, tools, materials/supplies, etc to be successful. • They need to remove their waxing services until they perfect it. It took 2.5 hours to wax my underarms because the wax kept breaking. It was never fully finished and she attempted my legs, which I eventually tapped out from the pain. Extremities like legs need to be done with speed waxing technique which was not happening due to the quality of the wax. • While I only had Botox once here, which was fine, I kept rescheduling my other injectable appointments because I questioned the competency of the provider and this practice. • Note: Their social media marketing is nonexistent. I had no idea they existed until I saw the ENT side of the practice. I found this practice because the provider had performed a sinus surgery on me, that was okay, but again, for the past year, there was ongoing issues with his front office staff, provider to provider communication, appointment scheduling, etc. I continually hear multiple apologies and I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt one too many times. I had hope that this practice could turn around for the better. I gave them a reference of someone that could help with injectables and their social media marketing and I even offered to help them out with front office, MA, strategy, sales (whatever they needed). They denied all help. I’ll pull out my popcorn bucket and watch this practice go bankrupt with their new “transition”. If you want the worst care possible, then I highly recommend.
Dr. Charous is the best ENT in Arizona. We are so impressed by his work, he put tubes in my son’s ear when he was 9 months and again when he was 22 months. Each time he was professional, kind, and most importantly efficient. Once brought back into the surgery room he completed the tubes in what felt like 5 minutes. We are so grateful we found this practice and trust Dr. Charous immensely.
Very professional check in staff and very knowledgeable and competent staff. Highly recommend for anyone interested
